SpiritJB Dev Runs Flash on iPhone
We all know about the hype that the SpiritJB developer, Comex, caused when they released the popular jailbreaking tool SpiritJB, which claims (and as far as I can see the claims are true) to have the functionality to jailbreak the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Just a month and a half from its debut, SpiritJB.com already has a traffic rank of about 23,000. Well, now Comex claims that they have released a tool that will allow flash to run natively on the iPhone. As everyone knows, Apple refuses to support Flash on any of its mobile devices, and Comex may change this once and for all. Just today, they have released a YouTube video (of poor quality) showing Flash running on the iPhone. Check it out:
Of course, there are other devs (such as the ones from the Smokescreen tool and the Cloud Browse app that can run flash, but nothing powerful enough to support Flash gaming on iDevices. Hopefully this will change things once and for all. This plugin is in it’s preliminary stages at the moment and displays some runtime errors when displaying Flash content, but hopefully once the official version is released we’ll see how it does. Stay tuned!
