Apple Launches Back to School 2011

Every year, Apple has been offering a “Back to School” exclusive offer for college students: Buy a Mac, get a free iPod Touch. This year, Apple has modified the deal a bit, and instead of getting an iPod Touch worth $229, you get a $100 iTunes gift card. What does this mean?
First of all, Apple is confident enough that they don’t need a physical product to entice college students to buy a Mac anymore. Therefore, instead of offering something that they have cost in, they are offering something that they have NO cost: software downloads/media downloads. Way to go, Apple, just more of your ultimate scheme to have higher profit margins.
