After the overly successful launch of the iPad 2 earlier this year, an analyst is reporting that the computer company will release a new, high resolution, “iPad 2 Plus”.  The new device is to be shipped along-side the iPad 2, as an upgraded model, rather than an entire new generation of the iPad. The reporter with the information that it would sell with the iPad 2, claims that the new iPad would have a higher pixel density at anywhere from 250-300 dpi(from the iPad 2′s 132 dpi). The reporter himself, however, is skeptical about the information, and he says that he will believe it when he hears more information. This could be the new, higher resolution iPad 3 we keep hearing about, but with a different name. A new iPad is obviously going into production, we just don’t know what it will be called yet.

Update: The Wall Street Journal reports with This is my next that the new iPad will be called the iPad HD.
