Popular Mac Text Editor BBEdit Gets Huge Update
As a web programmer for over 4 years working with HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, etc, Adobe Dreamweaver has become my favorite software for writing code, especially the new CS5 version, which comes with a lot new features. But for those who may only focus on text/HTML, another really popular option is a great app called BBEdit, and today we are here to announce the latest version of this great Mac-compatible software, version 10.0.
BBEdit sports a ton of new features in this update, as well as a new price tag. Previously, BBEdit would put you down $99.99, quite a heavy price tag for the editor, although most feel it’s worth the money. However, up until October 19th, 2011, the developers, Bare Bones Software, have put the app at just $39.99, available for download on the Mac App Store. Afterwards, the price will go up to $49.99, still 50% off from the original price tag.
If you already own BBEdit and would like to get this update, users who bought the App any time in 2011 can get a free update.
