A few weeks ago, another fake Apple store was discovered in Kunming, China. Apparently, the retail store was once a legit seller of Apple products until the owner lost his license by manipulating prices and decided to keep going anyways.

The illegal store sparked a lot of anger from the internet and some of the customers.

Perhaps in order to take eyes away from the retailer’s illegal dealings, the owner of the store seems to have decided to change the stores name.

The store still has the Apple insignia, but the name now reads – “Smart Store”. However, the store still sells illegal Apple products.

The supplier of all these fake goods is still a huge mystery to us though. Just how big is a blackmarket that is able to supply tens or maybe even hundreds of fake Apple outlets? It just goes to show you how outright China’s illegal market is right now.

With all this media attention, it may be that Chinese authorities will close this store soon if they aren’t doing so already.
