Sprint Will Start Offering iPhone 5 With Unlimited Data Plan Next Month
Bloomberg recently affirmed statements by the Wall Street Journal which claimed that Sprint would start offering the iPhone 5 with an unlimited data plan next month when the device is to come out.
This is different from Verizon and AT&T, carriers that do not plan on offering unlimited data for the device.
This move to set itself apart from the other carriers may be a plan by Sprint to get more iPhone customers – seeing as Verizon and AT&T already had a head start in iPhone coverage.
As of now, Sprint’s unlimited plan for its smartphones runs at $99.99 per month, so we can expect a price of around that much for the iPhone 5 as well. In the past, AT&T and Verizon also had unlimited data plans for the iPhone, but both carriers have switched to tiered plans since then.
Also reported by Bloomberg was that Sprint is postponing its release of a new 4G Blackberry Curve 9350. One rumor is that Sprint is doing this in order to better prepare for the iPhone 5, even though it isn’t a 4G phone.
