Within a day of Apple’s release of the iPhone 4S, Samsung has already taken a swipe at the device by comparing it to the company’s Samsung Galaxy II, sending out a press releasing detailing why their device is superior to Apple’s. Here are some highlights that the company mentioned, on what sets the Galaxy II apart from the new iPhone, thanks to TUAW.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy S II display has 42% more screen area than the iPhone 4. It notes that “screen size benefits scale by AREA (length x width), not just diagonal.” The Galaxy S II is also the thinnest handset on the market and has faster HSPA+ network speeds than the iPhone 4S.
