iPhone 4 Battery Spontaneously Combusts on Flight
Take a gander at that photo above. That, my friends, is what an iPhone 4 looks like…with a battery that just happened to spontaneously burst into flames on a plane flight to Australia.
Now, if you’ve been keeping up with the news, you would have know that some Aussies are having some issues with shipping electronic devices with lithium batteries, with concerns that it may not be save on the flight.
While most would scoff at the idea, the fact is that this iPhone 4′s battery did, for reasons unknown, start smoking on a flight. However, the most ironic part of this story is that the flight was from Australia. The country’s transport safety bureau has taken the iPhone up for analysis.
Luckily, no harm was done, as flight attendants managed to extinguish the “fire” before anything major happened.
