Apple’s Injunction Against Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Denied
Apple is currently in court pushing for an injunction against the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, if successful resulting in the ban of the sale of Samsung’s tablet in the United States. However, according to a report by TUAW, Judge Lucy Koh of the United States District for the Northern District of California has denied the injunction. Apple faces another court session on June 7th, this time for an injunction against the Galaxy Nexus. Apple must wait until the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit issues a mandate before it can ask again for an injunction.
Really, this legal stuff is quite dreary, as Apple has been in court with so many companies that it isn’t really even news anymore. Apple CEO Tim Cook says that the company’s court appeals are in attempt stop other companies from ripping off on its products.
