WWDC 2012: Apple Stops Producing 17-inch Macbook Pros
Admist all the new products that are coming from Apple’s WWDC 2012 conference today, there’s also some (quiet) news about the 17-inch Macbook Pros: they’re no longer going to be produced. The 17-inch Pros first started shipping back in 2006 with a crazily expensive price, and apparently only captured 1.7% of all Mac market share last quarter. Instead, we see that Apple is focusing on making smaller Mac notebooks, with the Pro starting at a 13 inch model and the Air starting at an 11 inch model.
