Registered iOS and Mac developers who have synced their iTunes accounts on one of the new iOS 6 beta builds now has access to an updated iCloud beta website (available at http://beta.icloud.com) that offers new features for users of the service. We’ve noticed that Apple is really trying to go for a desktop interface look with their online service, with the various online “apps” mimicking the interface of apps on the Mac platform. Among the new features that iCloud beta sports includes notes and reminders, two apps that are set to hit OS X Mountain Lion once it becomes available.

Notes:

As anyone who’s had experience with iOS or Mac can easily tell, Apple is clearly shooting to make their online iCloud apps look and work the same as their desktop counterparts. The Notes app available on the beta is incredibly simple to use and syncs with your Notes app on Mountain Lion and iOS, with the interface being pretty much exactly the same.

Reminders:

With the introduction of a new Reminders app in iOS 5 and the announcement that Reminders would be available in OS X Mountain Lion as well upon its release, it only makes sense that Apple build an online version of the app into iCloud. And they have. This online app is designed pretty much exactly the same as what we can expect in Mountain Lion, which means you’ll pretty much use Reminders exactly the same when you’re on a Windows machine or away from your Mac.

Some Other Updates:

In addition to Notes and Reminders, the new iCloud beta also has a completely redesigned Find my iPhone service, as well as some updates to the Calendar app. Again, check it all out by accessing http://beta.icloud.com.
