Spotify is one of the most popular online music streaming services available, and just hit U.S. markets last year. A Spotify subscription-based app is also available for iPhone, but the service is lacking an app for iPad users. However, Denial Ek, founder of the service, has confirmed that an app is "in the works." That's all that he cared to mention on the subject. New iPad 3 Still Not Available in China

Currently in China, a legal battle is going on between Chinese company Proview, Apple, and a group a eight Chinese banks. Proview claimed that it owned the trademark for the iPad name in China, and as a result the new iPad (third generation) is still not available to the public in China. A group of eight Chinese banks are also saying that they own the trademark, not Proview, after a seizure of assets from the company that occurred in 2009.

The Apple TV is currently being modded by two developers: TheMudKip and Steven Troughton-Smith, who are working together to bring iOS application functionality to the Apple TV, as demonstrated in the video above. So far, the two developers have been successful in running applications on the Apple TV, as demonstrated with the calculator app, Safari, and more. Halfbrick Studios, the developers behind the popular "Fruit Ninja" apps, posted a link to a YouTube video a few days ago featuring their Fruit Ninja game being played by a cat. Surprisingly, it seems that this isn't just some random slashing of the iPad screen done by a feline. After watching the video, one has to admit that the cat really seems to know what it's doing, going after the fruit and slashing them with surprising accuracy. Here's the video:

New 60Beat GamePad Controller Released, With Limited Game Support

The recently introduced 60Beat GamePad is a dual-stick controller designed to work with the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad, and is designed with similar features as Xbox or PlayStation controllers. The controller, which sells for $50, connects to your iOS device through the headphone jack (something that's a bit unusual compared to similar devices out there) and is currently compatible with only two games, although the developers are saying that more games will support the device in the upcoming months. We see the game controller demoed with Bugdom and Aftermath in the gameplay video above.

According to Apple, the software update primarily addresses issues with iTunes Match, which was supposedly updated containing "several improvements," as well as a fix to an audio distortion issue in iTunes. Microsoft OneNote, the software that comes with Microsoft's office suite used as an (aptly-named) note taking tool, has today hit the iPad after previously being released for just the iPhone/iPod Touch. The iPad app comes with quite a sleep interface, with a great user interface as well as the ability to sync notes using wifi. OneNote is free, but only for creating and editing up to 500 notes. If you think 500 won't be enough for you, you can unlock unlimited notes through an in-app purchase.

There's been a lot of debate online recently regarding Microsoft's TellMe, a program built into its phones which performs similarly to Siri, the newest and one of the most impressive features in the new iPhone 4S. Siri, which allows you to control your phone using only your voice, makes it easy to do things such as schedule appointments, send text messages, search the web, or find information. Big Fish Games is a quite widely known game development company that creates games on a variety of platforms, including Apple's iOS. We've recently heard from a report from Bloomberg that Apple has now allowed Big Fish Games to start selling iOS subscription gaming services through the App Store. The Series 7 computer from Samsung was supposed to run Windows 7, but one rebellious hacker has managed to get OS X Lion installed on the machine, as demonstrated in the video above. Lion runs pretty well in the video demonstration, but the biggest problem is that for some strange reason, you'll need an external monitor to display the OS.
