Just because iOS 5 isn’t supposed to be launched until Fall doesn’t mean that it can’t be jailbroken. In fact, the RedsnOw team just recently released its jailbreak for iOS 5 Beta 5.
The jailbreak is called RedsnOw 0.9.8b9, and is a tethered jailbreak that is compatible with all iOS devices except the new iPad 2. For those who don’t already know, a tethered jailbreak is when you need to plug your iOS device into a computer with RedsnOw installed every time you power up your device or else the jailbreak will stop working.

Diablo fans rejoice! A recent Tweet sent through Blizzard accounts this morning sent people to a forum post that announced Beta testing for Diablo III in the near future.
The post recommends for people that are interested in being the first to Beta test Diablo III to run an update on their Blizzard System Check application in order to update their Beta profile.
Of course, in order to be legible for Beta testing, you must first be registered in Blizzard’s Beta program.

According to a recent report by Macrumors, Apple has just released a Beta version of Find My Mac- the Mac equivalent of Find My iPhone, which will allow you to locate your Mac from any web browser or iOS device and play a sound or send a message to that Mac. You can also choose to remote lock or wipe the Mac. However, that will prevent you from locating that Mac a second time.

However, while the launch was intended to be open to only developers, it seems that some non-developers were inadvertently let in as well. That problem was said to be fixed quickly though, as it was reported that Apple has begun shutting down access for these non-developers.

Apple just seeded OS X 10.7.2 alongside a new iCloud for Lion beta 5. The 10.7.2 seed appears to only contain changes to support iCloud Beta 5. It should be noted that Apple skipped 10.7.1 release, and has made no mention of it yet. Why? We’re speculating that it’s probably going to be a bug fix update for OS X Lion 10.7, and will be released sometime in the near future. Apple has provided an update for Lion just less than a week after its release, beating its own record of 16 days for an update when Snow Leopard was released.

Apple just released iOS 5 beta 3 to developers this Friday. This new download is available in the iOS dev center and brings a variety of tweaks and improvements. The most exciting part of this update is probably the ability to “patch” the operating system without actually plugging it in to the computer. Software Update for iOS will notify you when an update for your current iOS is available, and the download will be done completely on the device, with an internet connection.
