According to reports from both TiPB and Digitimes, Apple has determined to cancel any plans (if it even had any) of releasing a retina display iPad in the Fall.
According to the report, Apple actually had a plan to produce 1.5-2 million of these iPad units in the third quarter and 5-6 million in the fourth quarter. However, these orders have been canceled.
