According to an article done by DigiTimes, Apple has recently shifted iPad2 display orders from LG to its rival Samsung and Chimei Innolux.

Apparently, quality issues from LG forced Apple to stop ordering iPad displays from the company. It was reported that there were unacceptable yields in displays from LG with the panels failing to pass certain drop tests – during which the panels’ backlight units reportedly failed.
