The recently introduced 60Beat GamePad is a dual-stick controller designed to work with the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad, and is designed with similar features as Xbox or PlayStation controllers. The controller, which sells for $50, connects to your iOS device through the headphone jack (something that’s a bit unusual compared to similar devices out there) and is currently compatible with only two games, although the developers are saying that more games will support the device in the upcoming months. Big Fish Games is a quite widely known game development company that creates games on a variety of platforms, including Apple’s iOS. We’ve recently heard from a report from Bloomberg that Apple has now allowed Big Fish Games to start selling iOS subscription gaming services through the App Store. Recently, 9to5Mac reported that it had heard news claiming that the iPod Touch will be receiving a price drop, likely due to Amazon’s release of its $199 Kindle Fire.
9to5Mac says that the 32GB and 64GB iTouch models will probably only see minimal pricing changes, however, the 8GB model is expected to see a significant decrease in pricing – likely to reach $199 and below.

The “Super Monkey Ball” series by SEGA have been quite successful on the iOS platform, although a bit expensive. Actually, not expensive any more. SEGA has put all three of their titles, Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition for iPad, Super Monkey Ball, and Super Monkey Ball 2, each at just 99 cents, their lowest price ever. Super Monkey Ball is a action game that requires a lot of skill and a little bit of luck. We’ve recently gotten word that Battleheart, a great RPG for the iOS platform and a universal app, is getting a gameplay update, which is going to bring two new characters, as well as some tweaks.
