According to a report by BGR, Apple has contacted the suppliers – Simplo and Dynapack – in order to develop a thinner and lighter battery for use with the future iPad 3.
If this report is true, than Apple could very well be aiming for a smaller battery to make a thinner design, or to make room for a potentially larger retina display screen. However, I would assume that the latter of the two arguments is probably the most likely.Read More →
