According to a report by BGR, Apple has contacted the suppliers – Simplo and Dynapack – in order to develop a thinner and lighter battery for use with the future iPad 3.

If this report is true, than Apple could very well be aiming for a smaller battery to make a thinner design, or to make room for a potentially larger retina display screen. However, I would assume that the latter of the two arguments is probably the most likely.

New iPhone 5 Part Leak

Once again, it seems that an Apple reseller has managed to procure up what it claims to be an iPhone 5 part. This time, it appears to be an iPhone 5 proximity light sensor flex cable – which allows for light and proximity sensory by the device.

As you can see from the picture above, this new part is considerably different from the old iPhone 4 part. First of all, the iPhone 4 sensor cable contained the power button, proximity/light senors, and a noise cancelling mic. However, this new part does not seem to contain the mic, meaning that it should be placed on another part of the device.
