Editor’s Note: This tutorial was demonstrated on iOS 4.
Often times when we are browsing the web with the Apple built-in web browser, Safari, we
may find the need (or desire) to save images that we find online. There’s actually a simple trick that will let you do exactly this, no jailbreak required. This feature is native to the Safari browser, and you can use it without installing anything else.
To get started, find an image that you would like to save to your Photo Library. Let’s say, for example, that I want to save this picture of a duck (kinda random guys, I know.) Here’s the picture:
A hidden menu pops up, with options to either save or copy the image. Saving it will send it to your photo library, while copying will put it on your clipboard. Let’s choose the save option and then navigate to our photos app, and look and see if the image is there.
That’s it guys! Just a simple tutorial for those who may not be as familiar with iOS as others are. Hope this helps boost your productivity!
