A few days ago, we announced a Facebook app “hack” that allowed iPad users to use the unofficial Facebook app that the company was working on. Unfortunately, Facebook took quick action, and now this is no longer accessible. However, the jailbreaking community has been keeping up, and released a tweak called FaceForward, which opens the unofficial app up to everyone again. From our original article:
Thanks to TechCrunch, we now have an entire gallery of pictures for the leaked native iPad app. Apparently, the new update for Facebook’s native iPhone also included the code and resources to the iPad app. A little tweak was all that it took to adapt the update to the iPad.
Installing the tweak is quite simple, and can be installed like any other Cydia tweak. Make sure that you have a jailbroken iPad and the Facebook app for iPhone installed on it. Then just download FaceForward from Cydia, and run it. Here’s a video, if you need more help:
